painting with Martha and Russell

The setting is ideal; warm green backdrop and cool fresh Gazpacho. We set up on the patio while terrific winds whispered creative encouragement. Our still life had brick red and pale green and brass and tin, with pops of yellow, blue and orange. Both of us used the pear as the focal point, and let the Chinese warrior figurine stand guard, as is his nature. The marbles and the vases never showed up, or maybe we took them off the guest list. Our sun gave us the ambiance, then got pushed aside by that wind.... Russell. Maybe Martha forgot the music, or maybe Russell made his own music... nonetheless we ended up having coffee with Van Gogh, and that's what we recall most.
