I met with Aunt Reda and Uncle Russell a few weeks ago and talked about creating a piece for them... likely it will include abstract references to carnival horses and the letter R. Reda would like a portrait of sorts.... She told me that she's the crazy one, and he's the calm one, so I will do some obvious things with one horse placid and the other hyperactive.
Aunt Moe sent me pictures of her motorcycles and asked for a 36x24 painting of those.
I am also considering a portrait of Dad on his boat as a gift for his 70th birthday... I am looking around for good photos I can refer from.
And, I had dinner with Rick last week and offered to do some nudes for him (ha!): I took some snap shots of his home interior to see the palette and general design quality so I can match it with my work. I am thinking about a triptych of small wood panels.
For the workshop I have the painting of the three figures in red and black... a new path of using overlays of figures or intertwining figures... no flowers in this one as of yet.
This is a good time for me.
